2024 brings a game-changing upgrade to Hyundai Ioniq 5, with a larger battery and sporty variant.

In a bold move for 2024, the Hyundai Ioniq 5 is undergoing a significant transformation. It will bid farewell to its smaller 77.4 kWh battery pack in favour of a much larger 84 kWh option. This upgrade promises a substantial increase in range on a single charge, although Hyundai remains tight-lipped about the exact figures. Preliminary estimates suggest an impressive 8.5% capacity boost, translating to approximately 22 additional miles for the AWD model and nearly 26 miles for the RWD version.

Two distinct powertrains power the Ioniq 5: a single-motor rear-wheel drive system and a dual-motor all-wheel drive system. The rear-wheel drive system delivers a respectable 168 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque, while the all-wheel drive system takes performance up a notch with 320 horsepower and an impressive 446 pound-feet of torque. Acceleration is equally noteworthy, with the rear-wheel drive system propelling the Ioniq 5 from 0 to 60 mph in just 5.2 seconds, while the all-wheel drive system achieves the feat in a swift 6.0 seconds.

Adding to the excitement is the introduction of the N Line variant, featuring aggressive bumpers, stylish side skirts, and distinctive 20-inch wheels that set it apart from the standard Ioniq 5.
